In My Heart and On My Mind

Yesterday marked one of those anniversaries

that you don't mark on your calendar,

but somehow insists on creeping in

and parking it front and center of your mind

year after year.

Yesterday marked four years since I said, "Goodbye" to my mom:

four years since I've seen her face,

four years since I've held her hand,

and four years since I've heard her voice.

The time has passed in an instant...

Another of God's little gifts to those of us who grieve.

Four years? Really? So sorry I didn't realize yesterday was the day. Hope you were able to stay busy and focus on her life and the great person she was. This picture of her looks just like YOU!! Beautiful!

I'm so sorry. It's crazy how the years start to really pick up speed as they grow further and further from that day. My mom's been gone 3 years and almost 2 months now, and it seems like yesterday and an eternity ago at the same time. It's still a tough anniversary for me, I hope it's okay for you!

And you look just like your mom in that picture! Crazy!

Sara, I remember that day like it was yesterday and yet it seems so long ago. I miss her terribly. I still so much admire your and Bri's strength and grace as you helped your mom on her journey. That is a testament to Brenda. Much love, Kathy

Sara,
I can hardly believe that it has been four years since you lost your Mom and I lost my dear friend. I will always cherish the time that she and I spent together..she was a true gift to me.
