Teacher Gifts

Back to school.

This is one of my favorite times of the year and something I really miss from teaching.

The stores have had school supplies on discount for weeks and I want to load up!

But, I'm waiting...waiting until right before the big day.

At the end of the year, I made these jars for the kids' teachers and I'm making them again for the first day of school.

I got the idea over at Ucreate and they are easy, inexpensive, and so cute!

Summer Vacation 2010

There's no better way to escape the 115° heat than to head west and park it on the beach.
We spent the last several days relaxing in Carlsbad with my sister's famly.
No make-up, no blow drying... just flip flops, a swimsuit, and sunblock everyday-
my kind of living.

A Cold Day in July

For Elle's birthday, we surprised her with a trip to the ice skating rink.

These first-timers did a great job and I am ready to pack up my things and live in that rink for the next two months...

2 hours of ice-cold heaven!

Happy Birthday, Elle

Today my baby turns 5.

In these short years, Elle has blossomed into one smart, funny, brave, and sweet little girl.

She is as tough and strong as any boy her age,

she is fearless to a fault,

and she is one of the most nurturing and loving people I have ever known.

Happy Birthday, Elle.

I am so proud of the girl you have become.

Cross Training

My bicycle man spent a week up in Utah riding his heart and came home last night bearing gifts.

Like my new ride?

Cupcakes in a Jar

I am in love with this idea...cupcakes in a jar.

Now I need a party, holiday, event,

some reason to give these away.

Don't they look so yummy?
